In order to bring our research into the public community, Julia Starke has held an open lecture in the town hall on the first Sunday of this year. Under the topic "Intelligente Hände - mit Prothesen und Assistenzrobotern den Alltag im Griff" she presented our research on grasping and manipulation with assistive robots. The talk sparked an exciting discussion with the audience on the versatility of human hands and the great challenges in replacing these abilities with prostheses and assistive robots.
The lecture was held within the Sunday lecture series from the University of Lübeck.
